Happy New Year From Singer/Songwriter Kristen Short

Happy New Year!  I had a very busy 2017 being the founder/executive director of our cancer support charity, Short Folks For Hope Foundation, empowering, encouraging and celebrating cancer warriors and inspiring youth to be creative, compassionate members of our communities!  In December I opened our new office in South Paris and I'm thrilled about getting the office settled in and getting my home office/studio back for working on music.  I have new songs in the works that I'll be recording over the winter and spring months and I look forward to sharing in my next album.  I'm also looking forward to performing at the OHCHS Grand Gala - "A Night at the Tonys" on Saturday, January 13, 2018, and I'll be performing a sweet duet with my daughter Allie.  Oxford Hills Community Broadway Musical Show auditions for Rogers and Hammerstein's Cinderella are happening next week that I'm very tempted to go to despite my crazy busy schedule...I love the support of the arts in this community and it's a joy to be in these productions with so many great local performers that it's hard to resist putting my hat in the ring to be a part of it!

The photo is of me as Trix the Aviatrix in the November OHMPAA musical production of "The Drowsy Chaperone," directed by Andrew Scott Turner, which ran November 9-19,2017.  The show was challenging and an absolute blast to be in with my daughter Allie.  Thanks to everyone who came to our shows - our audiences were fantastic!
